April 2003 UPDATE: Henri Weiner wrote only one book under his name......No and Yes. "The Case of the Severed Skull" is copyrighted in 1939 under Hillman-Curl and in 1940 as "A Mystery Novel of the Month" as a second Henri Weiner book. In reality, "The Case of the Severed Skull" is a reprint of a Henri Weiner pseudonym "Paul Haggard" novel "Death Walks on Cat Feet" copyright Hillman-Curl 1938. SPECIAL THANKS TO : Bill Pronzini & Mark Terry. There are a total of four Paul Haggard Novels: "Dead is the Door Nail", "Death Talks Shop", "Poison from a Wealthy Widow" and "Death Walks on Cat Feet". In the first book under the new "Paul Haggard" pseudonym, "Dead is the Door Nail" he dedicates it to himself, "Henri Weiner". |
