HENRI WEINER: THE PULP NOVELIST

Stephen Longstreet's / Henri Weiner's first book was "Crime on the Cuff. A John Brass Mystery" in 1936. Considered to be the only book written under this name. Although, there is at least one other pulp novel written under this name entitled "The Case of the Severed Skull".

April 2003 UPDATE: Henri Weiner wrote only one book under his name......No and Yes.

"The Case of the Severed Skull" is copyrighted in 1939 under Hillman-Curl and in 1940 as "A Mystery Novel of the Month" as a second Henri Weiner book. In reality, "The Case of the Severed Skull" is a reprint of a Henri Weiner pseudonym "Paul Haggard" novel "Death Walks on Cat Feet" copyright Hillman-Curl 1938. SPECIAL THANKS TO : Bill Pronzini & Mark Terry.

There are a total of four Paul Haggard Novels: "Dead is the Door Nail", "Death Talks Shop", "Poison from a Wealthy Widow" and "Death Walks on Cat Feet". In the first book under the new "Paul Haggard" pseudonym, "Dead is the Door Nail" he dedicates it to himself, "Henri Weiner".
