A novel based on the life of Maurice In the late 1920s, Stephen and Ethel were students in Paris and knew Maurice Utrillo's mother. Through her they were often sent out to find him, clean him up, and see that he did enough paintings to keep his credit good with the art dealers. This was the first of six collaborations.
