Walter Winchell, (1897-1972), gossip columnist and for a time one of the most powerful journalist from the 1920s, through 1950s. At his prime, his column ran in more than 2,000 daily newspaper each day. Unfortunately, we do not know the reason for this letter, only that there seemed to be some sort of dispute.
